Feb. 18, 2016 – Portland Metro City Council Hearing on 2008 Oregon Zoo Bond

The Portland Metro City Council holds hearings on the 2008 bond measure many called a bait-and-switch. Voters approved the bond based on a promise and an onslaught of misleading marketing by the zoo to build an off-site elephant sanctuary. When that didn’t happen the public was outraged.
